Welcome to Valerie Custom Quilting!

Welcome to the home of Valerie Custom Quilting! My name is Valerie Bradley, business owner, pattern designer, and quilter. I've been making my own quilts since 1997, quilting for others since 2005, and designing my own quilts since 2007. I love working on my clients' quilts, the different patterns and new ways of combining colors are so very exciting to me.

If you're a quilter, I offer my quilting service for your large or special projects - up to a King size quilt. My quilting is top quality. I take great care in quilting your tops safely and beautifully. I have been creating my own quilts since 1997 and I know how much work goes into piecing a quilt top, so you can be assured that I will treat your quilt top with utmost care and respect.

If you are not a quilter but want a special quilt made, I have limited time for such projects. I will be happy to help you make a quilt using specific colors in your decor, using a pattern you fell in love with, or using t-shirts from memoral events in your life. Note that I am not accepting other kinds of shirts to turn into quilts, as often they are made with fabrics that are finicky and difficult to work with. I also have a variety of patterns, both for sale and free. Who can resist free patterns? I even offer free Mystery Quilts, if you like that sort of thing.

Notable Projects

In December 2014, I was commissioned by Capitol Records to make two quilts to look like the cover art for an album released by The Decemberists (original artwork by Carson Ellis). The quilts were finished in January 2015. The band was holding a drawing, so two lucky fans each received one of the quilts.

I will say that this was the most challenging project I had worked on to date, it stretched my skills to new heights, and I'm thrilled with the final results. Below, you can see a photo of the finished quilt, click on it to see a larger version in a new window.
