Track Side Engineering

Welcome to Track Side Engineering!

Hello, and welcome! My name is Valerie Bradley, and I'm here to offer my services to you.

A little background: I started my post education career as a software engineer, and for 7 years I worked at Intel Corporation, writing network management software. I left Intel in order to raise my two children, which I knew would end that career. Once my children were older, I had an amazing opportunity to work at a local race shop, first as an intern and then as a paid employee, learning the trade and building bespoke track day and race cars. I worked at the race shop for 7 years, and now have a plethora of skills at my fingertips.

I love everything automotive! I specialize in making things look good, from upholstery to visual carbon fiber, to 3D printing, to vinyl logos, and so much more. If you need an extra set of hands on your show build, reach out to me. I've worked on vehicles bound for SEMA and CES. I understand crunch mode and am willing to put in the time and weather the long days to make deadlines. I am willing to be a fly-in addition to your team.

If you are a race team, I can help with repairs to your car's composites components. I have been supporting a local Audi R8 with carbon fiber bodywork, performing repairs to the bodywork as needed through the seasons. These repairs have not been perfect (perfect carbon repairs are usually not possible), but are structural and hide nicely behind strategicaly placed vinyl. I have also repaired damaged bodywork for the Enviate Hypercar, owned by Cody Loveland, as a fly-in contractor.

This is also the home to the original CoolSeat! The CoolSeat is an insert to your race car seat, which provides the cooling of a cool suit but without the expense of the special garments. A CoolSeat makes driver changes faster and easier as there is one less connection to disconnect from the exiting driver and to connect with the entering driver. Want to learn more? Go to my CoolSeat page for all the latest information and ordering options.

In addition to my car building skills, I also am an accomplished performance driver and driving coach. I am part of a Lucky Dog Racing League team, as a driver and a member of their pit crew. I am a driving coach with several area clubs, which include the Cascade Sports Car Club, BMW ACA, and Hooked on Driving. I have also coached at private events, such as Ron Tonkin Gran Tourismo Ferrari track days and NSXpo. I'm also available to be hired as a one-on-one driving coach. If you are looking to get started with track driving, or want to up your driving game, let's talk. I would love to help you on your journey.
