Clue #2

From your cream fabric and your red fabric, cut 4 squares 7" x 7" from each color. On the back of each cream square, draw a line along one diagonal.

Pair together one red and one cream square, placing them right sides together. Sew ¼" on either side of the diagonal line drawn on the white square. Cut along the drawn line to yield two units. Press towards the red, then square each HST to 6½" x 6½". You will have made 8 HST.

From your red border fabric, cut 2 pieces 3½" x 14½", and cut 2 more pieces 3½" x 50½" (these will have to be pieced). Set these aside for later.
