Mystery Quilt #4
Clue #2
From each of your Dark #1 and Dark #2 fabrics, cut 2 strips measuring 3" x WOF. Cut these strips into squares measuring
3" x 3", you will need 18 squares of each color.
From your Light fabric, cut 3 strips measuring 3" x WOF. Cut these strips into 36 squares measuring 3" x 3". On the back
of each square, draw a line along one diagonal.
Pair together one Light square with one Dark square, right sides together. Sew ¼" on either side of the drawn
diagonal line. Cut apart into two units. Repeat for all Light and all Dark squares, which will yield 72 units
(36 Light/Dark #1 and 36 Light/Dark #2).
Press each HST unit towards the Dark fabric. Trim up each HST to 2½" x 2½". Set these aside for later.
That's all for clue #2! Stay tuned for Clue #3...
