You will be using your medium #1 fabric, light fabric, focus fabric, and the pieces you made in clue #1 for this clue.

From your medium #1 fabric, cut 8 squares 3 7/8" x 3 7/8". Cut these along one diagonal to yield 16 triangles.

Join together one medium #1 triangle with one unit from clue #1 to make a 3½" x 3½" square, as pictured. You will make 16 squares.

From your light fabric, cut 16 3½" x 3½" squares.

From your focus fabric, cut 4 3½" x 3½" squares.
